BRATTLEBORO BUDDY WALK

We are beginning to plan for the 2nd Annual Brattleboro Buddy Walk already! Last year was an incredible success thanks to support from all who participated. We are looking forward to building on that success and having another great event this fall. We hope you will come out and join us again this year.

We also want to offer opportunities for you to get involved before the event if you are interested. There are many ways to contribute, from being very involved to being available to help for a half-hour at the event, and everything in-between.

Are you interested in helping build the event? We have a core group (Executive Committee) planning the event that will be gathering on Sunday, April 11th at 9:30 a.m. for a meeting and a potluck brunch. This is the group that will be overseeing all aspects of the event, including establishing sub-committees to make sure that it all gets done -- event logistics such as getting sponsors, planning events for the day, making sure we have volunteers, etc. Please RSVP to Jim Nicholson at lisajim@comcast.net or call 258-4699.

Other opportunities to get involved: Working Committees – are you interested in leading a committee and helping make the vision real? This level of involvement includes meeting regularly and staying in touch via email, etc., as well as coordinating volunteers and friends to help get the work done. Friends – are you willing to help out with a specific task that a working committee might need, like picking up food on the day of the event, or getting tents and chairs? This is specific, time-limited, no-meetings involvement. Ambassadors – are you willing to organize a team to raise money and walk together, for instance at your work or school? This would be a great way to be involved on your own time.
